Dual Active Bridge as a DC Link Current Pulsation Compensator in Energy Storage Applications

This paper presents a system for compensating DC link current pulsation in four-wire inverters with energy storage operating under unbalanced load conditions. phenomenon occurs when an inverter independent power control each of the phases attempts to locally balance voltage imbalance grid. Such condition creates pulsation, which is destructive connected link. The conditions this situation appears are presented detail paper. A solution problem proposed form dual active bridge converter and capacitor bank actively compensate pulsation. algorithm based on proportional-resonant controller. technical background method by controller parameters were calculated, implemented tested real-time system. test results discussed, concluding that attractive option protecting from combined resonant can almost entirely.
